- The Number 9 is completion but NOT finality in the cyclical sense, process of transformation, compassion and kindness for the greater good.
- Positive energetics of the Number 9 – through life experiences come transformation and inner wisdom, leading by example, respect for others and a willingness to help.
- Negative energetics of the Number 9 – resentment, sacrificing the self for others too much, experiencing suffering and struggle.
Nine of Wands Tarot – Upright Meaning
- Associated with the Moon – Mutable / Sagittarius energy.
- The querent is ready for a confrontation but they are in a defensive or passive stance instead of an offensive or active stance. They are tired but still full of fire and are ready to move forward. While they want to protect what they have gained, they need to be open to exploring beyond their comfort zone to expand their potential.
- The querent has an inner strength they didn’t know they have. They will receive what they want but they may need to move past their comfort zone to get it. If they focus on internal growth and expansion it will lead them to new possibilities.
- Bravery, level head and going forth with inner force and fortitude. There is no need to bow to outside influences, the force is in you. This card is about staying power.
Shadow Side of the Nine of Wands
- The querent is feeling the weight of the world to defend what they have gained and they are exhausted from the journey so far. They may feel like giving up – the fire inside is waning.
- The message in the reversed 9 of Wands is that the querent must stop defending what they have from the past, let go and start moving forward. They need to be more actively engaged in their life and explore possibilities.
