This post is intended to be a mini Seven of Pentacles Tarot Guide. It is important to mention that the longer you work with the cards the more you will discover how they speak to you. For example, the Seven of Pentacles does have a theme and traditional meaning but I recommend leaving “space” for the card to speak to you. Over time, you may discover that the card represents unique insights or themes for you personally.

Seven of Pentacles Tarot – Upright Meaning
- Represents Venus, fixed / Taurus energy
- The 7 of Pentacles often represents that the querent is finally seeing the fruits of their labor. They have been responsible with finances but they are afraid to enjoy them. They may have concern over financial loss or loss of health. They may also feel like they have come so far with the project but don’t have much to show for it. Or not as much as they hoped.
- The querent is seeing results and things are moving along according to plan but it is time to pause and reflect. They need to make sure they have clarity on the final goal. If they can rest briefly, they will have clarity.
- If this reading is about career, this card is telling the querent that now is a good time to ask for a raise or a promotion.
- Question to consider:
- Is this desire worth the time and energy you are putting into it?
- Is it time to reflect, let the garden grow and start planting something else?
Shadow Side of the Seven of Pentacles
- The 7 of Pentacles reversed often means that the querent is worried that all of their hard work will not bear fruit because they are very invested in the outcome of this situation or project. It is possible that the endeavor will not yield all that they were hoping for.
- Another interpretation is that the querent is putting their “head in the sand” and they are avoiding the things that really need to be addressed. They should start paying close attention to their finances or the stability of the project / situation.
- Questions to consider:
- Are you feeling lazy or using sleep as an escape?
- Are you being the ostrich and putting your head in the sand so you don’t have to deal with the issues in front of you?
