Six of Wands Tarot Guide

This post is intended to be a mini Six of Wands Tarot Guide. It is important to mention that the longer you work with the cards the more you will discover how they speak to you. For example, the Six of Wands does have a theme and traditional meaning but I recommend leaving “space” for the card to speak to you. Over time, you may discover that the card represents unique insights or themes for you personally.

Six of Wands Tarot – Upright Meaning

  • Associated with the Sun and Fixed / Leo energy
  • This card is the card of victory but it is not the end of the road. Victories have been or will be had but there is likely still more to go.
  • A good omen. Good news is coming. Success and inspiring others in some way. The querent is being held in high regard. A reason to celebrate. This is a time for recognition and accolades, be open to receive blessings in any form. Show gratitude every step of the way.
  • Despite challenges, harmonious, completion despite challenges. All parties are in agreement. The project or effort will realize commercial gain.
  • There is movement forward and the querent will overcome and see results or the victory is already yours. The rapid changes that are coming are due to your efforts; the success that you want is near. Claim it.
  • Life will begin to move forward and the querent is stronger than they think. As they continue to overcome, they should not forget to rest.
  • Victory – the complete and perfect manifestation of their will into reality so the victory here would be that of the human mind over the physical world.
  • Questions to consider – How does the querent feel about the victory? Does it bring satisfaction or fulfillment?

Shadow Side of the Six of Wands

  • The reversed 6 of Wands represents everything in the upright position however there may be some delays or challenges that need to be overcome in order to realize victory.  Even in the reversed position the potential for victory is still strong. When the victory comes there may be less of a sense of fulfillment or satisfaction.
  • This card can also represent that there is untapped potential in the querent. They may be ready for advancement in their profession or career but cannot see it.
  • Questions to consider – Where are you experiencing anxiety in your life? Where are you experiencing jealousy of others? Jealousy can be good because it shows us what we desire but it can also become toxic if we hold on to it.
