  • The 5’s are governed by Mars.
  • Fixed / Aquarius energy
  • There are changes and adjustments as it relates to collaboration and groups. This includes adjustments, defeat, and being plotted against but they are not emotional. Failure to compromise; Ego’s fighting; One upmanship. 
  • The current strategy or approach is not working. 
  • Air affects reasoning, ideas and decisions. Manipulation, control, narcissism, victory at any cost. Mental defeat, mental failure. Modern day definition of insanity – doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome. If you want different results you must use different methods.
  • Exploiting another’s weakness. Advise the seeker not to show any weakness as it may be used against them. Need to put themselves first.

  • Collaboration or groups undergoing change. Can indicate change in plans or people coming together. Gathering forces and a strength in numbers. There may be a competitive vibe or challenges. 
  • Can refer to a supportive family structure or a group going to battle. 
  • Can refer to a conflict – getting into a fight or argument with someone. The question is to ask – is this conflict with someone else or is this an internal conflict you have? Is the person on the other side actually guilty of anything to justify the conflict? Get to the root of the problem vs. addressing the symptoms.

  • The 5’s are governed by Mars
  • Fixed / Scorpio energy
  • Can indicate a loss in love or in pleasure as shown with 3 spilled cups. Disappointment but notice the 2 cups are intact. Notice what you have left. 
  • This card shows us what we DON’T want so we can focus on what we DO want. Put energy into cups you have left to move towards the positive vision in the card. 
  • The remaining cups are choices that are available to the individual – recognize the choices in front of you and leave the memories behind. 
  • Addictions to thoughts, behaviors and people and things. 
  • Can also indicate a period of temporary mourning. This is the card of emotional heartbreak (i.e., intimate relationship that has failed).

  • Element – Earth

 5 of Pentacles Meaning

  • The 5’s are governed by Mars energy.
  • Fixed / Taurus energy
  • This card can represent isolation and someone is very depressed and may have even walked away from help. Or they aren’t noticing the help around them even though help is present. 
  • Can indicate loss on the physical plane such as declining health, loss of money, loss of job or career, loss of resources but could also mean incurring debt rather than loss of income. While there may be lack on the physical plane it is not the end of the road.
